Taste Notes
This single malt is the star of the company. In Jim Murray’s “Whisky Bible 2004” he says that on the palate it shows citrus notes and very oak on the malt but sweet enough to chew. The integration of the oak really makes for some long finish with hints of coffee and a bitter sweetness. The truffle odour is felt in the nose evoking the Ben Nevis Mountain.

History

The Ben Nevis distillery is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland - 1825. It is situated by the foot of the highest mountain in Great Britain, the Ben Nevis, with an elevation of 4,406 metres above sea level. This impressive mountain offers an amazing background for the most traditional and better known product in Scotland- the whisky. Near the distillery we can see two lochs that complete this magic place- Fort William- where science and nature merge.
